Northampton Education Foundation Adult Spelling Bee
On March 29, 2017, NEF will hold its beloved annual event, the Adult Spelling Bee, for the 17th time.
The NEF Bee is well attended by an enthusiastic audience of community members and NEF supporters. Up to 40 teams composed of three adults, most in costume, vie for awards in spelling, costume and humor. It is broadcast live by WHMP while recorded by NCTV. If you have not, please consider registering a team or sponsoring a team of spellers.
Funds from the NEF Spelling Bee support our Small Grants for Teachers program, started in 1991 and reaching virtually all grade levels, program areas and disciplines. Last year, NEF was able to award an amazing $56,424 to fund creative and innovative grants. Your participation in the NEF Spelling Bee enables us to continue to support and inspire the students and teachers in the Northampton Public Schools! The registration fee is $275.00 per team.
