PTO Updates

Please help make the JFK Teacher and Staff Appreciation Day on Tuesday, May 5th a success!  We're still looking for donations of lunch foods, drinks, and flowers; we also need a few volunteers to help with set up and clean up. Please use the Sign up Genius  to sign up, or fill out the Paper Form and return to your child's homeroom teacher.

If you don't have time to help, please consider sending in monetary donations to support the day.  Any money donated between now and next week will go toward teacher appreciation: online at JFK PTO Razoo. Or you could send in a check made payable to JFK PTO.

We also encourage you to write notes of appreciation to your child's teacher or team--just be sure to write "teacher and staff appreciation" on the envelope, and we'll be certain to get the notes to teachers and staff on May 5th.

Note: We are looking for a couple of licensed massage therapists in our JFK community who might be willing to offer chair massages for an hour or two on May 5th. Contact Emily Todd at ebtodd2002@yahoo.com or 413-586-0421 if you are interested and have time in your schedule.

JFK Updates

Despite the frozen precipitation, it is indeed spring which means it's time for the Theatre Workshop play! This year's comedy is titled "Haphazardly Ever After", about a king and queen who try a myriad of ways to finally shoo their flock of rambunctious "children" out of the palace nest, including a DIY fairy tale kit from Enchanted Depot. Join us for our performance at 6:30 on Thursday April 30 in the JFK Cafetorium for a fun family night out!

Be a part of Art!  We are designing and installing a large student driven mural on the outside wall of JFK in the next 3-4 weeks. This mural is being funded by grants from NEF, the Northampton Arts Council, and the Northampton Prevention Coalition. The mural project leader is Heather Berlin with Mrs. Mallory. Students have been working after school on designs, and it will be painted over the April break. Flyer for April Break  Mural camp, more info at jfkcommunitymural.blogspot.com
