It’s a great way to learn about what’s going on day to day at JFK and to connect with other parents/guardians. To review the agenda for the September meeting click on the link below.

Sign up to Volunteer at JFK with Volunteers in Northampton Schools

In order to volunteer in Northampton Public Schools, every parent or guardian needs to fill out a “CORI” in the school office. The CORI volunteer application is good for 3 years. You can learn more at this VINS link or in the school office. It only takes a few minutes but helps a lot!

More snacks for our Nurse’s Office needed

Our school nursing staff always appreciates donations of healthy snacks to distribute to our students as needed. Donations can be dropped of at the main JFK office. No snacks with nuts please. Some examples of great snacks are pretzels, nut free granola bars, and sun or veggie chips. Donations are very much appreciated.

It’s a Carnival Celebrating the Northampton Public Schools!

Sunday, September 23, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at JFK Middle School

The Northampton Public School Carnival is a joint effort between the Parent Teacher Organizations of all six Northampton Public Schools and School Local Northampton. The all-ages, community-wide carnival will feature games and prizes, a bounce house, obstacle course, glitter tattoo, face painting, and refreshments. Community organizations staffing informational tables include Racial Equity and Learning (REAL), Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC), the Northampton Survival Center, Smith Art Museum, Forbes Library, and the Girl Scouts and we’ll have information about the Northampton Public Schools available for interested parents. A shuttle service will stop at each Northampton elementary school, Florence Heights, and Meadowbrook Apartments to simplify parking and transportation. Rain date is Sunday, September 30.

100% of the net proceeds from this event will go directly to public school PTOs for student enrichment programs. Check out this event of Facebook at this link: www.facebook.com/events/222253581943608
